Our scripture for Sunday is Matthew 9:35-10:8. What is the difference between teaching and preaching? Which are we called to do? What does it mean to preach? How did Jesus view the crowds? How do we view the crowds? Who was expected to be the shepherd? What did Jesus ask the disciples to pray for? Does that seem odd to you? Maybe we need to re-frame what we ask of God. How many of these disciples had you heard of before? How many had you not? How much of God's work is performed by people you have never heard of before? Who did Jesus instruct His disciples to go to? Who did He instruct them not to go to and why? When have you seen this happen before? See Matthew 15:21-28. What have you freely received that you can now give?
