Our scripture for Sunday is 1 Peter 1:3-9. Who is Peter's audience and why were they scattered? Why might Peter describe the hope in verse 3 as living or lively? How might Peter have described his hope immediately following the crucifixion? How does an earthly inheritance compare to the inheritance described in verse 4? Verse 5 tells us that God's power will protect or guard us but what is our part in the protection? How has your Faith in God protected you? How do verses 6 & 7 compare to Romans 5:3-5? Have you been able to rejoice through your trials? Are you able to agree with verses 8 & 9? Even though you have not seen Him, do you love Him? Do you believe in Him? Where does your joy come from?
