Our scripture for this week will cover Matthew 16:13-20. Who is Jesus speaking to in our passage today? Why does Jesus refer to himself as the Son of Man? See Daniel 7:13-14. Who do the people say Jesus is? Why? Who do the disciples say Jesus is? Who do you say Jesus is? Who is Peter and how did he come up with his answer to Jesus question? Who revealed Jesus to you? Who does the church, referred to in verse 18, belong to? What is bound and loosed in verse 19? Why did Jesus tell His disciples not to tell anyone that He is the Messiah? What were the expectations of the people in Jesus's day for a Messiah?
